This impressive coastline was formed by magma released during volcanic activity in the geopark area 100 million years ago. The beautiful white sands of Kiyoga-hama Beach and the unique circular patterns along Modoro-misaki Cape are not to be missed. These circles were formed as two different types of magma mixed together below the surface of the Earth. The white sand is a result of granite stones that have cooled and hardened, then weathered over time.
